Shearman & Sterling represented Canal+ Group and RTL Group in the €560 million sale of their majority interests in Sportfive S.A., a French company listed on the Paris stock exchange, to Realworld Luxembourg SARL, a subsidiary of Advent International, a global private equity fund.  Sportfive S.A. is the European leader in football marketing and broadcasting rights. The closing is subject to regulatory approval and finalization of bank financing.
