Shearman & Sterling represented Active Health Management, Inc. in its acquisition by Aetna, Inc. The transaction was valued at approximately $400 million. Active Health provides vital evidence-based medical management and data analytics products and services to a broad range of customers, including health plans, employers, public agencies under state government-funded Medicaid programs, federal government-funded Medicare programs and others. Aetna intends to operate Active Health as a standalone business.
