In an article published on Reuters.com anti-corruption partners Philip Urofsky and Jo Rickard highlight the risks faced by companies with the implementation of the UK's Bribery Act on July 1, pointing out some of the ambiguities in the Ministry of Justice's guidance on the act.
Urofsky, who splits his time between offices in Washington, DC, and London, and Rickard, who is based in London, also cover options available to companies if they are accused of violating the Bribery Act—in particular, the advantages of US-style deferred prosecution agreements.
