New York M&A partner Christa D’Alimonte has been named a “Top Female Deal Maker” by Law360, one of just 10 US-based lawyers honored for their outstanding M&A work.
A feature article in Law360 characterizes D'Alimonte as a “steady-handed negotiator” in deals such as the closely watched $50 billion separation of Viacom and CBS Broadcasting, and notes that she’s even won praise from the other side of the bargaining table for her “cool, calm, and collected” approach to working out complex transactions.
D'Alimonte was called "very unflappable" by Viacom general counsel Michael D. Fricklas. Christina Mohr, managing director in global M&A at Citigroup, complimented D'Alimonte on her negotiating skills. “Often, when you're in the middle of transactions, you get wound up in some details,” Mohr said. “She can step back, think things through and say, 'I think we can find a resolution here in the following way.'”
