Düsseldorf, June 13, 2007—Shearman & Sterling advised Droege International Group AG on the sale of the pharmaceutical business of Madaus Group to Rottapharm, Italy. The buyer will also acquire the shares currently remaining in possession of the Madaus family.
The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
Droege International Group AG and the Madaus family will in particular keep the activities in the allergy sector and the shares in Servox AG, which is active in the fields of home-care.
