Rome, July 22, 2008—Rome Partner, Domenico Fanuele spoke last Friday on a panel on private equity investments at the Private Equity & Entrepreneurship Workshop in Taormina, Italy. The conference was organized by the University of Naples and Catania and was attended by private equity firms, entrepeneurs and scholars. The workshop aimed at calling the attention on the importance of private equity and venture capital as fresh-and-new source of capital funding to trigger the growth of firms in the important area of Southern Italy known as “Mezzogiorno”.
Keynote speakers at the conference were: Ronald Spogli, Ambassador of the United States to Italy; Laura Resnikoff, Director of the Private Equity Program of Columbia University Business School; Stefano Balsamo, Managing Director of JPMorgan; Maurizio Caio, Partner of TLcom Capital LLP.
