In their article, Lamson and Rozansky provide an overview of the current rulemaking process with regard to the asset-backed securitization industry, identifying progress in issuing new rules since the enactment of The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, considering areas where agency rulemaking has been delayed and noting key areas of debate and controversy.
