Rozansky and Ali Publish Article on US and EU Bank 'Living Will' Proposals in International Financial Law Review
31 May 2011
Gregg L. Rozansky, Azad Ali

Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory Group counsels Gregg Rozansky and Azad Ali co-authored an op-ed article analyzing US and EU proposed requirements for the largest banking groups to prepare "living wills" or resolution plans designed to help end "too big to fail" status for financial institutions. The piece was published in International Financial Law Review on May 31.

In their article, Rozansky and Ali suggest several approaches that may help make the proposed living will framework function in a more rational way for institutions with cross-border operations and discuss some of the critical questions that remain concerning the use, implications and effectiveness of living wills.
