New York partner Bradley K. Sabel and New York counsel Gregg L. Rozansky published an article, titled "BASEL III: What Bank Officers And Directors Need To Know," on BankDirector.com on January 5.

The article provides a summary of Basel III and offers questions that directors and officers of U.S. banks can ask internal experts and outside counsel to help prepare their bank for implementation.

Basel III is due to go into effect by 2013 for new capital standards and 2015 for new liquidity standards.
