Shearman & Sterling is advising existing client Advanced Technology Investment Company LLC (ATIC) of Abu Dhabi in connection with its proposed acquisition of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd of Singapore.  The total value of the deal is about S$5.6 billion, including ordinary and convertible redeemable preference shares and debt as of June 30.
