Mannheim, November 6, 2007—Shearman & Sterling represented MVV Energie AG on its capital increase executed at the end of October. The share capital was increased by approximately €25.96 million to €168.72 million by issuing 10,139,506 shares in return for cash contributions with subscription rights of the shareholders of MVV Energie AG. The new shares were offered by a banking consortium under the lead of Sal. Oppenheim at a price of €22.50 per new share. The transaction has a volume of approximately €230 million.
