Shearman & Sterling Advises Symphony Technology Group on Sale of Capco

Shearman & Sterling represented Symphony Technology Group in its sale of The Capital Markets Company NV (Capco) to Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) in a transaction valued at approximately $300 million. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and the transaction is expected to close by year end 2010.

Symphony Technology Group is a strategic private equity firm with the mission of investing in and building great software and services companies. Capco is a global business and technology consultancy dedicated to the financial services industry. FIS is one of the world’s largest global providers dedicated to banking and payments technologies.
