Morgan as representatives of the several underwriters in connection with the US$851 million initial public offering of Cobalt International Energy, Inc. According to Bloomberg, this is the largest IPO by a U.S. oil and gas exploration company this decade.
Cobalt, based in Houston, is an independent, oil-focused exploration and production company with a below salt prospect inventory in the deepwater of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and offshore Angola and Gabon in West Africa.
