Shearman & Sterling represented Nordea Bank Finland PLC acting through its New York Branch, Fortis Bank SA/NV (trading under the name BNP Paribas Fortis), Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ) and Citibank Europe PLC as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners of a $1.13 billion credit facility for Allure of the Seas, Inc. This deal involved a cross-i border credit facility and is guaranteed by the official export credit agency in Finland.
Allure of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean Cruise line ship, shares the title of the world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship with its sistership Oasis of the Seas. The ship is expected to sail its first voyage on December 5, 2010.
