On July 23, 2010, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) granted membership to LarrainVial Securities US LLC (LV US). LV US is the newly created U.S. broker-dealer of the LarrainVial Group, which becomes the first Chilean financial group to register a broker-dealer with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). LV US will be regulated in the United States by the SEC and by FINRA.

Shearman & Sterling acted as counsel to LV US, a role that included registration with the SEC and the membership application to FINRA.
