Shearman & Sterling represented Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and RBS Securities Inc. as joint book-running managers and representatives of the several underwriters in connection with a public offering of $800 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes of Life Technologies Corporation. Life Technologies Corporation is a global biotechnology tools company that provides its customers with systems and reagents that enable a broad spectrum of biological research of genes, proteins and cells within academic and life science research and commercial applications.
