Shearman & Sterling represented Banca IMI, Calyon Crédit Agricole CIB, The Royal Bank of Scotland and UniCredit Group as joint lead managers on the issue of €750 million 5.375% guaranteed notes due 5 December 2016 by Lottomatica Group S.p.A.

Lottomatica manages the lottery on behalf of the Italian government and also markets games, automated services and ticketing services.

The notes are guaranteed by certain subsidiaries of Lottomatica. Lottomatica has applied for the notes to be admitted to trading on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange’s Euro-MTF Market. The notes have been rated BBB- and Baa3 by Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Services, respectively.
