Shearman & Sterling Advises on Province of Ontario's $3.5 Billion Bond Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented the Province of Ontario (“Ontario”) in connection with Ontario’s public offering of US$3,500,000,000 of its 1.375% Bonds due January 27, 2014 (the “Bonds”). Application will be made to the United Kingdom Financial Services Authority for the Bonds to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange plc (“LSE”) for the Bonds to be admitted to trading on the LSE.

Ontario is the largest Canadian province by population and home to both the nation’s capital and most populous city.
