Shearman & Sterling represented Credit Suisse as sole bookrunner in connection with the US$100 million convertible bond offering by Vincom Joint Stock Co, one of the largest listed property companies in Vietnam.

The deal is the first overseas sale of convertible bonds by a Vietnamese issuer and is also the first international capital raising from any Vietnamese issuer since the US$750 million inaugural sovereign bond in 2005 (on which Shearman & Sterling also advised).

Hong Kong Capital Markets partner Matthew Bersani and London-based Finance partner Mei Lian led the Shearman & Sterling team, working with associates Mara Folz (Singapore-Capital Markets), Tracy Li (Hong Kong-Capital Markets), Daryl Chew (Singapore-International Arbitration), John Delamere (London-Finance), Nicola Liddle-Peters (London-Finance), and senior legal assistant Derek Perriam (Singapore-Capital Markets).
