Shearman & Sterling Advises on the Province of British Columbia's $1.5 Billion Bond Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented the Province of British Columbia in connection with its public offering of $1.5 billion of its 2.10% Bonds due May 18, 2016, which closed on May 18, 2011. Application will be made to the United Kingdom Financial Services Authority for the Bonds to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange plc for the Bonds to be admitted to trading on the LSE.

British Columbia, with an estimated population of 4.5 million people in 2009, is the third-largest Canadian province by population and home to Vancouver, Canada's third-largest city.
