A report by research and advisory firm Acritas has found Shearman & Sterling to be “the most preferred international law firm for work in the Brazilian legal market.” The “Global Elite Index” ranks firms operating in Brazil, based on interviews with more than 1,000 general counsel and other senior buyers of legal services at companies with revenues over $1 billion.

The preliminary results of the report appeared in the October 6 issue of Latin Lawyer; and final rankings will be published at the end of the year, according to the magazine.
