Shearman & Sterling Represents Nokia in Acquisition of NAVTEQ for $8.1 Billion

New York, October 1, 2007—Nokia has agreed to acquire all of the outstanding common stock of NAVTEQ Corporation for $78.00 per share, for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $8.1 billion. The acquisition will be financed through a combination of cash on hand and debt. Shearman & Sterling is representing Nokia in the transaction.
