Shearman & Sterling Wins Award for Remy Chapter 11 Transaction

New York, September 10, 2008—Shearman & Sterling won Turnaround Management Association’s Transaction of the Year Award for its representation of Remy International, Inc. in the first prepackaged chapter 11 in the automotive sector. Shearman shares the award with Remy's financial advisor, AlixPartners LLP, and Remy's lead investment banker, Rothschild, Inc. Winners will be honored at the Turnaround Management Association's Annual Convention in October.
