Shearman & Sterling advised Nippon Commercial Investment Corporation (NCI) in connection with its merger with United Urban Investment Corporation (UUR). UUR was the surviving company after the merger. The merger was valued at approximately $243.5 million and became effective December 1, 2010.
Both UUR and NCI are real estate investment corporations based in Tokyo.
Shearman & Sterling represented UUR as US counsel in this transaction. Principal lawyers involved were partner Masahisa Ikeda (Tokyo-Capital Markets) and associate Joji Ozawa (Tokyo-Capital Markets).
