Shearman & Sterling was one of the sponsors of the China Conference: Making Financial Markets Work in Beijing December 3rd and 4th.  Over 1,200 delegates attended this annual gathering for the China capital markets industry.  Beijing managing partner Lee Edwards spoke on a panel on "Foreign Direct Investment: The M&A Challenge" and partner Jonathan Weld (NY-SD) joined a panel to discuss "The Reform of the Banking Sector in China."
