Shearman & Sterling is representing WestLB Cayman, the Cayman Islands branch of WestLB AG, in its agreement with West End Capital Management and CIBC World Markets Corp. to acquire all common and preferred stock of Rathgar Capital Management Ltd., a structured investment vehicle used to manage Rathgar Capital Corp. RCC issues investment grade commercial paper, medium term notes and income notes, to build income to invest in grade corporate bonds and sovereign debt. RCC has issued about $1 billion of outstanding debt securities.
