A Noteworthy Year for Shearman & Sterling Project Finance

Despite a challenging economic environment, the firm’s Project Development & Finance Group has wrapped up the 2008 award season by winning the most awards in the group’s history.

This year, six publications presented 16 awards to deals on which the group advised across Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America in the power, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors.

"The quantity and span of awards, more than half of which were given to deals closed in the second half of 2008, underline the strength and versatility of the group and its ability to close big-ticket deals in difficult credit markets,” said Nicholas Buckworth, Co-Head of Shearman & Sterling’s Project Development & Finance Group.
