Shearman & Sterling's Düsseldorf office is located in the most densely populated area in Germany.  Düsseldorf is the capital of the state of North-Rhine Westfalia, which has the highest concentration of major industrial, commercial and service enterprises in Germany, including several DAX-30 companies.  Since 1991, lawyers in the office have focused primarily on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, German and European antitrust, litigation, and tax.
