Shearman & Sterling Wins ‘Most Innovative US Law Firm’ at IFLR’s 10th European Awards
19 Mar 2009

Shearman & Sterling was named most innovative US law firm operating in Europe at the prestigious International Financial Law Review’s 10th European awards in London last night. This is the first year that IFLR has made an award in this category.

The award recognizes the firm that has taken the most innovative roles on some of the best European deals of the past year.

European Managing Partner Creighton Condon commented, “We are very pleased to have won most innovative US law firm in Europe—especially as the judges consider client recommendations when shortlisting for each category.

“The award confirms the importance of our partner-driven, entrepreneurial and client-focused approach,” he added. “In this challenging economic environment, we are committed to providing integrated client support across geographies and practices. This enables us to offer high levels of partner engagement and extensive expertise internationally.”

IFLR introduced the prize as a way of acknowledging the increasingly important role played by US firms in the European market.

Shearman & Sterling was also shortlisted for this category in IFLR’s Asian awards.
