S. Lynn Diamond


Lynn Diamond is counsel in the Antitrust Group in Shearman & Sterling’s New York office.  She focuses her practice on counseling regarding the pre-merger notification requirements in the U.S. under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (“HSR”) and throughout the world mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Ms. Diamond files dozens of HSR notifications with the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice every year.  She frequently counsels on cross-border transactions, and works closely with Shearman’s European offices and local counsel to prepare and submit competition filings in jurisdictions worldwide.  Ms. Diamond provides general counseling with regard to antitrust compliance issues, including integration and joint venture planning.  Her practice has involved mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in a number of industries, including finance, energy, steel, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, software and telecommunications.

Ms. Diamond has counseled clients in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, industrial equipment, food products, and auto parts, and she has many years of experience in the diamond and jewelry industry.
