Ethan D. Harris


Ethan Harris, a partner in the firm’s Tax Group, has a broad-based, transaction-oriented practice that includes structuring and negotiating the tax aspects of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate spin-offs, as well as capital markets transactions. He also handles private equity transactions, including negotiating and structuring investments by sovereign wealth funds. In addition, he assists multi-national clients with respect to internal planning strategies and restructurings and audits and other tax controversy matters.

In 2015, Mr. Harris was named a “Rising Star” by Law360, which recognizes “attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age.” In 2010, Mr. Harris was seconded to China Investment Corporation, the sovereign wealth fund of China, where he focused on the tax aspects of structuring investments. Mr. Harris joined the firm in 2002.
