Maura E. O'Sullivan


Maura O’Sullivan, a partner in the Finance Group, has extensive experience in representing financial advisors, lenders and borrowers in various financings, with a particular emphasis on acquisition financings, leveraged lending, restructurings and asset-based finance. Ms. O’Sullivan joined the firm in 1985 and became a partner in 1999. She is also an elected member of the firm’s 9-member Policy Committee. She is ranked a leading lawyer in banking and finance by Chambers USA, IFLR 1000, and Euromoney Expert Guides. She was shortlisted for “Finance Lawyer of the Year” (2012) by Chambers USA Women in Law Awards and received the award for “Best in Banking & Finance” (2013, 2014) by Euromoney Americas Women in Business Law. Ms. O’Sullivan was also distinguished by Law360 as MVP for Banking (2013).

  • Bank of America Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as joint lead arrangers, and BMO Capital Markets Corp., GE Capital Markets, Inc. and SunTrust Bank, as joint bookrunners, in connection with a $870 million senior secured financing consisting of a $790 million term loan and an $80 million revolving credit facility related to the refinancing and debt recapitalization for a privately held portfolio company of Hellman & Friedman LLC
  • Morgan Stanley Senior Funding, Inc. as sole lead arranger and joint bookrunner in connection with a senior secured term loan facility for Polycom, Inc.
  • Boston Scientific Corporation as borrower in connection with a $400 million term loan arranged by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated
