Ronan M. Wicks


Ronan Wicks is Head of Shearman & Sterling’s European finance practice. His focus is on advising financial institutions in connection with leveraged and investment grade acquisition financings, asset-based facilities, workouts, general financings and special situations, including in the middle market. He has significant experience with New York Term Loan Bs, in particular, and has also assisted debt funds in distress situations. Ronan has deep experience across various industries, including telecommunication and media, financial services, manufacturing, technology, sports/entertainment and with cross-border and investment grade transactions. He has advised on important transactions for a wide range of financial institutions, including Barclays Capital, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Citibank, Goldman Sachs Credit Partners L.P., Jefferies & Co., Inc., JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley. Ronan is currently resident in Shearman & Sterling’s London office, but spent the last 20 years of his career practicing in New York.
