- Mid Europa Partners on a series of transactions for it to acquire a controlling stake in Hungarian telecoms group Invitel
- Advising Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG and the senior steering committee in relation to the restructuring of debt facilities made available to Borsodchem Zrt. - a company owned by Permira
- The Abu Dhabi United Group Investment & Development Limited on its acquisition of Manchester City Limited, the holding company of Manchester City Football Club
- ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Citigroup Global Markets Limited in relation the €900 million financing of the acquisition of Hema Holding B.V. by Lion Capital LLP
- Barclays Capital in relation to the refinance of existing senior facilities of the Codere group with a €100 million senior revolving credit facility agreement
- Barclays Capital and Absa as lead arrangers (together with Credit Suisse, Deutsche and ABN) of the R26 billion financing of the acquisition of Edgars Consolidated Stores Limited (Edcon), a South African listed company, by Bain Capital comprising three senior secured revolving credit facilities, two senior secured bridge facilities, two senior subordinated bridge facilities, two asset backed facilities and a guarantee facility and the issuance of senior secured notes and senior subordinated notes to refinance the bridge facilities
- CIBC in relation to the SEK 1,885,000,000 acquisition of the Alimak construction group
- Goldman Sachs International in relation to the US$399 million financing of the acquisition of TDS Logistics, Inc. by the Walsh Western group
- Citigroup, Credit Suisse and Fortis in connection with the €1,415 million financing of the acquisition of Tommy Hilfiger Corporation by Apax
