Mr. Greenblatt, a partner in the Litigation Group, has extensive experience in commercial and international litigation, including arbitrations and class action litigation, concentrating in the areas of antitrust, securities and bank litigation, bankruptcy, lender liability and major fraud investigations.

Fraud Cases
  • Representation of a major international financial institution in multiple representations involving civil and criminal fraud allegations
  • Representation of a large insurance company in government investigation of finite reinsurance
  • Representation of a large multinational investment bank in an internal investigation related to potential violations of the securities laws, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
  • Representation of The Bank of China in a series of actions around the world to recover more than $43 million that had been diverted from China’s foreign exchange reserves in a massive bank fraud
  • Representation of Sinochem in overseeing a referral to criminal authorities as part of an effort to recover fraudulently obtained funds
  • Representation of The Bank of Montreal in connection with a sophisticated fraud perpetrated in the United States and Canada by one of its customers
  • Representation of the U.S. subsidiary of five Danish companies in connection with a fraud investigation conducted by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York and related civil litigation
  • Representation of a large international bank in connection with the Hong Kong government’s investigation of a high volume check-kiting scheme
  • Representation of the court-appointed liquidators of BCCI
  • Representation of a large international bank in connections with a foreign government investigation into misappropriation of government funds by a customer of the bank

  • In re Ciprofloxacin antitrust litigation – representation of Watson Pharmaceuticals in the ciprofloxacin multi-district antitrust litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York
  • Eon Laboratories v. Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. – representation of Watson Pharmaceuticals in a Section 1 and Section 2 case in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (monopolization, price discrimination and conspiracy case)
  • INO Therapeutics v. Sensormedics et al. – representation of INO Therapeutics in defense of an antitrust counterclaim involving nitric oxide gas in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey
  • Representation of aaiPharma Inc. in defense of several antitrust counterclaims involving omeprazol in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York
  • W.B. David & Co. v. DeBeers, et al. – represent an employee of a subsidiary of De Beers in an antitrust litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York
  • U.S. v. Waste Management – defense of Waste Management in a government merger challenge
