Practice
Mr. Dejean, a partner in the firm's Paris office, practices in the tax law, restructuring and mergers & acquisitions areas. Mr. Dejean, who is a French citizen, joined the firm in 2002 after practicing for eighteen years with a major audit firm and then with a leading French corporate law firm. During his tenure with the accounting firm, Mr. Dejean spent four years as the French tax desk in New York where he made partner before returning to Paris to head their French International Tax Group.

Mr. Dejean has been cited as a leading tax lawyer in the Chambers' Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers and in La Lettre des Juristes d'Affaires.


Experience
  • Counsel for a large U.S. multinational in the food industry in several corporate tax matters in France, including tax audits and tax litigation
  • Implementation of the transfer pricing policy of a U.K. pharmaceutical group in France; counsel for the group in the tax free reorganization of its French marketing and manufacturing subsidiaries and in connection with tax audits
  • Advisor to a U.S. multinational on French tax matters related to the sale of its French agro-chemical plant
  • Corporate and tax counsel for a French Internet Service Provider listed company which merged its ISP Division with a competitor and split-off its Content Division through a share buy back program paid in shares of this division
  • Represented a French listed investment vehicle in corporate and tax matters when it purchased an equity interest in a U.S. investment house
  • Corporate and tax counsel for a French listed company in the polling and marketing research industry in connection with its IPO, shareholding restructuring and various acquisitions both in and outside France
  • Advisor to a listed French listed investment vehicle in connection with various large LBO transactions (tax structure and management incentive program)
  • Advised a German conglomerate on French tax planning when it took over a French insurance company
