Shearman & Sterling’s pro bono work was featured in the Spring 2009 newsletter of the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG). A Pro Bono team including associates Veronica Wissel and Fraser Hartley, supervised by partner Douglas Bartner, worked with NYLAG to assist a client who could no longer afford to make the alimony payments he had been ordered to pay since his divorce in 1967.
