Practice Rainer Wilke, partner in the Corporate Group, is Co-Managing Partner Germany of Shearman & Sterling. Mr. Wilke has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, corporate reorganization and privatizations, including restructuring and insolvency cases.
In his practice he advised clients in various industry areas such as Axel Springer, Daimler, Daimler Financial Services, Droege, E.ON, Fresenius, German Federal Government, Hypo Real Estate Group, IVG Immobilien, Tengelmann Group.

- Daimler and Daimler Financial Services in arbitration proceedings regarding Project Toll Collect against the Federal Republic of Germany
- The German Federal Government regarding legal matters related to the restructuring of the General Motors Group and Adam Opel GmbH respectively
