Shearman & Sterling represented the International Chemical Investors Group, a German-based industrial holding company, when its wholly owned subsidiary, Corden Pharma S.p.A., completed a June 30 asset purchase agreement whereby it purchased the entire production business of the AstraZeneca Group in Italy. With over 400 employees and revenues of approximately €80 million, the business is a major producer of Diprivan, an anesthetic.
