Shearman & Sterling represented Stock Building Supply Holdings, LLC, one of the largest suppliers of building products to professional builders, contractors and other customers in the U.S., in its prepackaged Chapter 11 reorganization. The prepackaged Chapter 11 plan facilitates a joint venture investment in Stock Building between an affiliate of The Gores Group, LLC and an affiliate of Wolseley plc. The plan was confirmed by the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on June 15, 2009 after 40 days in bankruptcy and is expected to become effective by the close of the month.
