Counsel Emmanuel Jacomy (Hong Kong/Singapore-International Arbitration) spoke at a panel on “Assistance and Supervision: Judicial Practice Supporting Arbitration in ‘Belt and Road’ Countries” at the China Arbitration Summit 2016 on September 29. The China Arbitration Summit was co-hosted by the Supreme People’s Court of China and CIETAC, and was themed with “Inheritance, innovation and harmonization”, focusing on new trends and hot issues of international and China arbitration under the “One Belt and One Road Initiative”.

It attracted about 400 domestic and international participants, including leaders of government departments, judges of the Supreme People’s Court, representatives of international arbitral institutes and legal counsels of major Chinese and international corporations. Jacomy addressed issues of enforcement of foreign arbitral awards against State and State-owned entities in “Belt and Road” countries, alongside the Chief and Deputy Chief Judges of the Supreme People’s Court of China.
