Partner Matthew Bersani (Hong Kong-Capital Markets), Global Head of Shearman & Sterling’s Corporate Finance Group, spoke at a panel discussion titled “Overcoming Asia’s Infrastructure Investment Gap” at the 2^nd Annual Business Council of Mongolia (BCM) Summit 2017 in Mongolia. Bersani and other speakers discussed the insights and challenges for the private sector on how to make contributions to infrastructure and trade development in the region and benefit from the progress.

The 2^nd Annual BCM Summit examined opportunities in Mongolia to accelerate trade and economic development in Asia. Established in 2017, BCM comprises 240 Mongolian and international member firms and works closely with the Government of Mongolia, private sector, embassies, NGOs and business associations to make constructive contributions to enhance Mongolia’s business environment, as well as fostering trade and business relations by providing a networking forum for its members.
