Counsel Jennifer Morton (New York-Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) participated in a panel discussion, entitled “Regulatory Developments Impacting Investment Advisers,” at the 2018 Money Management Institute (MMI) Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas. The discussion provided an overview of relevant regulatory initiatives affecting investment advisers. Topics included Regulation Best Interest, Form CRS and Investment Advisor Interpretive Guidance proposals; an update on SEC enforcement actions in the wealth management space; and an overview of regulatory actions and guidance regarding crypto offerings.
