Shearman & Sterling Promotes 13 to Counsel

Global law firm Shearman & Sterling has promoted 13 lawyers to counsel. The new counsel represent 9 practice areas and 6 offices.

The following lawyers were promoted to counsel:

Sébastien Delaunay is a lawyer in the capital markets practice in Paris. He received a Magistère de Droit des activités économiques degree from Université de Paris-I and a D.E.S.S. de droit et fiscalité des affaires degree from Université de Paris-I.

Sylvia Favretto is a lawyer in the financial institutions advisory and financial regulatory practice in Washington, DC. She received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Duke University.

Frédéric Guilloux is a lawyer in the finance practice in Paris. He received his Postgraduate Degree in International Law from Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and his master’s degrees in Business and in German Law from Université Nanterre (Paris X).

Kathryn Khamsi is a lawyer in the international arbitration practice in Paris. She received an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law as a James Kent Scholar, an LL.B./B.C.L. with distinction from McGill University and an A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University.

Tania Mattei is a lawyer in the mergers and acquisitions practice in New York. She received an LL.B. with honors and a B.Com from the University of Melbourne.

Joji Ozawa is a lawyer in the capital markets practice in London. He received a J.D. from Cornell Law School and an S.B. from the University of Chicago.

Keith Palfin is a lawyer in the litigation practice in Washington, DC. He received a J.D. from Georgetown Law and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
