Grant Named to '2015 Most Influential Black Lawyers' List

New York partner Denise Grant (Project Development & Finance) was named one of the “2015 Most Influential Black Lawyers” by Savoy Magazine. The list is comprised of the “best of the best” of Black lawyers who have blazed trails in both the public and private sectors of the legal profession. These visionaries, leaders and advocates are widely recognized for their influence and leadership and for nurturing the next generation by “reaching back” to bring others forward. The selection was based on several criteria, including expertise, leadership and overall reputation.

Other prominent lawyers selected for this list include Deidre Stanley, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Thomson Reuters Corporation; Elizabeth Moore, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Consolidated Edison, Inc.; Cornell Boggs, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Dow Corning; Christopher Reynolds, Group Vice President and General Counsel, Toyota Motor North America; Ron Edwards, Global Information Technology Counsel, Deere & Company; Kim Rucker, EVP, Corporate & Legal Affairs, Kraft Food Group, Inc.; Lewis Steverson, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Corning Incorporated; Eric Holder, United States Attorney General; and Loretta Lynch, United States Attorney, to name a few.

“I am honored and humbled to be included among such an impressive group of exceptional lawyers,” Grant said. “Savoy’s list reinforces the message—and this is very important to me—that law is a profession with great opportunities for young Black and other minority lawyers to make a difference.”
