Shearman & Sterling has once again been named to Law360’s “Global 20” list, jumping 8 spots—the biggest movers among the 20 firms—from 19 to 11. The firm has now been recognized all five years since the “Global 20” list’s inception in 2011.

According to Law360, firms are ranked based on five factors: the percentage of the firm's attorneys located outside its home country; the number of offices outside the firm's home country; the number of countries where the firm has at least one office; the practice area breadth of the firm's cross-border and international work; and the size and complexity of the firm's cross-border and international work.

The firm’s Law360 submission highlighted the 40th anniversary of the opening of its Abu Dhabi office and 50 years in the Middle East; high-profile and high-impact transactions and disputes around the world; and a continued global commitment to pro bono work.
