Shearman & Sterling Represents SportsNet New York in 15-Year Headquarters Lease at 4 World Trade Center

Shearman & Sterling represented SportsNet New York in connection with a 15-year headquarters lease at 4 World Trade Center, which is part of the recently developed World Trade Center complex in Downtown Manhattan. The lease is for approximately 84,000 rentable square feet and includes a one-time renewal option for either an additional 5-year or 10-year term. Designed by Pritzker-prize winning architect Fumihiko Maki, 4 World Trade Center is one of the most technologically-advanced office buildings of the 21st century and features 1.8 million square feet of office and retail space.

SportsNet New York is a New York regional sports network founded by Sterling Equities, Time Warner and Comcast NBCUniversal and is available to viewers throughout New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania, and nationally on DIRECTV, Verizon FiOS, Comcast Cable and AT&T U-Verse. The programming roster broadcasts games and related programming involving the New York Mets and the New York Jets, but also includes supplementary coverage of classic sports programming, original entertainment shows and exclusive interview and magazine programs.
