Strength of Shearman & Sterling’s Antitrust Practice Recognized by Global Competition Review

Global Competition Review, the leading competition law and policy journal, today released its 2016 GCR 100 survey, which names Shearman & Sterling’s antitrust practice as one of the 25 Global Elite competition practices worldwide.

Beau Buffier, Global Antitrust Co-Head, added: “We are honored to receive this recognition and to be included among such a fine group of firms.  This reflects not only the confidence our clients have in us, but our significant achievements over the last year on major matters.  Our team has been doing terrific work across the full spectrum of antitrust law matters, and we are very pleased to be recognized as one of the leading firms in this area.”

In addition to the Global Elite accolade, the Brussels and New York practices are “highly recommended” by Global Competition Review.

Independently researched, the GCR 100 survey is widely seen as a guide to the world's top antitrust and competition law practices because of its quantitative and qualitative analysis.  GCR reviewed over 300 practices looking at size and make-up of practice groups, jurisdictional reach and case work, finely balancing cartel defense, deal work, litigation and unilateral conduct, across 50 jurisdictions.
