Shearman & Sterling Advises EQT Mid Market U.S. on Acquisition of Innovyze

Shearman & Sterling advised EQT Mid Market US GP B.V. on its acquisition of Innovyze, Inc., a U.S.-based leading global provider of smart water infrastructure modeling and simulation software solutions, from Stantec Inc., a global professional consulting services company.

EQT is a leading alternative investments firm with approximately EUR 35 billion in raised capital across 22 funds. EQT funds have portfolio companies in Europe, Asia and the U.S. with total sales of more than EUR 19 billion and approximately 110,000 employees. EQT works with portfolio companies to achieve sustainable growth, operational excellence and market leadership.

Innovyze is a leading global provider of wet infrastructure business analytics software solutions designed to meet the technological needs of water/wastewater utilities, government agencies, and engineering organizations worldwide. It is headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado and has offices in California, the U.K. and Australia.

The acquisition was completed on May 5, 2017.
