Shearman & Sterling Project Development & Finance lawyers Anna Chung and Alfred Ng were named 2017 Law360 MVPs. The Law360 MVP awards are given to those elite attorneys who have distinguished themselves from their peers in litigation, deals and other complex matters. Anna and Alfred, both based in the firm’s Singapore office, were also selected earlier this year as Law360 Rising Stars, defined as “attorneys under 40 whose legal accomplishments transcend their age.”

Anna was recently elected to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2018, and has significant experience working on the development and financing aspects of complex power, LNG, oil and gas, and petrochemicals projects in the Middle East and Asia. She also specializes in advising Korean financial institutions and corporates on their outbound investments. 

Alfred is counsel at the firm and advises sponsors and lenders on a range of projects transactions including power, infrastructure, oil & gas and petrochemicals projects, particularly in Southeast Asia and South Asia. He works with clients from the inception of the project development phase through to the financing phase, up to and following financial close, with a focus on the financing aspects of transactions.
